![]() ![]() You cut that piece out and make sure it fits the hole as snugly as possible, glue that patch piece to a larger backing piece with about 1/2" extra material around the edge of your patch piece, then glue the larger backing piece in place around its edge from inside the hole.įor an even faster patch, you could just get some wood-grained duct tape. After you remove the plate, hold a piece of matching laminate against the hole from the inside and orient it so the grain matches when viewed from the outside, then trace the hole on your piece. Good news is, you have HPL back/sides, so you could visit a store that sells laminate kitchen countertops and find a few laminate sample pieces that match. If you remove it, you would probably want to patch the hole left behind. The apparatus should be connected to mains outliet with a protective earthing connection. ![]() As for the barn door, if you leave it in place (minus the battery or whatever other innards might go out with the pickup), it at least leaves a finished appearance. Plus they can be a bear to reach unless your have "spaghetti arms". They weigh next to nothing and if glued securely they have no discernible sonic impact in my experience. I wouldn't sweat removing the cable clips from inside the guitar once you've gotten the cable(s) free of them. The preamp has an integrated tuner with manual tuning and variable pitch selection when activating.
